Yes, that was a real Model 1873 Winchester Lever Action Rifle I'm holding. It "was probably the most popular civilian rifle used on the frontier of the American west. More than half a million were produced by the turn of the century. Late production of this extremely reliable rifle was a favorite south of the border to the very end of production in 1923, when more than 20,000 were produced".
